With his outstanding play this season, Washington Wizards two guard Bradley Beal was recently named to the NBA All-Star team for a second consecutive season. However, being that Beal missed out on a starting spot on the prestigious team, his teammate John Wall seems to think that Beal was robbed.

According to Wall, who himself is expected to miss majority of next season due to a procedure performed on his ruptured Achilles tendon, Beal should have been a shoe in as a starter of the East All-Stars.

“I felt like he should have been an All-Star starter, with the numbers he's put up and carrying this team throughout the year,” Wall said of Beal. “You don't see too many other guards doing that other than probably James Harden.”

With Beal currently averaging across the board career-high marks of 24.9 points (on 47.0 percent shooting), 2.5 three-pointers, 5.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.8 blocks per contest, it is hard to argue against Wall here.

Moreover, with the Wizards now closing in on a Playoffs spot in the East (they are currently 23-32, and just three games outside the eighth seed) despite missing the services of Wall for over a month now, Beal has stepped up to lead Washington's charge.

Then again, considering how Beal was edged out by Boston Celtics star Kyrie Irving and Charlotte Hornets stud Kemba Walker as the two starters in the East All-Star backcourt, Beal (and Wall) can't really feel too hard done by the “snub.”

What's important is that the league has recognized Beal's efforts this season, and with his arrow pointing nowhere but up, a starting spot on the All-Star team somewhere down the road appears to be on the horizon for the 25-year-old.
