If the Washington Wizards draft a point guard in the 2019 NBA Draft, All-Star John Wall would have no problem with it.

Wall's 2018-19 season ended early after he underwent bone spur surgery. The former No. 1 overall pick also slipped at his house and tore his Achilles tendon. It's unknown if Wall will play at all next season.

If he does, though, Wall expects to be the starting point guard if Washington drafts one in this year's draft.

“Me? I’d be fine,” Wall said, via Michael Lee of The Athletic. “I don’t have no problem with that because it is what it is. You have to do what’s best for the team and make sure that we have pieces. And when I come back, he can be a great backup to me.”

Wall's supermax extension with the Wizards kicks in next season. No one knows what type of player Wall will be, though, when he returns since he's coming off two serious injuries.

Washington is missing the playoffs this season for the first time since 2016.
