Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma just gave the Detroit Pistons a double-whammy.

After sinking the game-winner in overtime, the Wizards rising star waved to the Pistons fans and said goodbye to them. He was all smiles after his epic shot, all while seeing the fans from his home state leave the contest in frustration.

As if his game-winner and wave are not enough, though, Kyle Kuzma delivered a rather savage message to the Pistons and the Detroit faithful as he shared the reason behind his celebration.

ā€œI had to tell 'em ā€¦ itā€™s time to go,ā€ Kuzma said, per Bleacher Report.

Never change, Kuz.

Wizards fans got to love Kuzma's confidence as well. While he has been largely ridiculed for his decline with the Los Angeles Lakers, it's clear he's having a resurgence of sorts in Washington.

He has been impactful for the Wizards in the 2021-22 season. Even though his stats this year are similar to his numbers in LA in the past couple of seasons, he has been really influential in their wins. He's a big reason why they are currently in the Top 5 in the East with a 15-11 record.

Washington will certainly want to see Kuz grow more to become that second option or even the main weapon on the offense, and by the looks of it, he's working hard to become just that. He finished the game against the Pistons with 26 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
