Washington Wizards Kyle Kuzma spoke with Malika Andrews on what he learned with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Being here has been an extremely fun opportunity to come in and lead, and use my championship backgrond. I know everything I've learned from those two guys in LA…This is kind of what I wanted… An opportunity to not be in someone’s shadows.”

Kuzma gives his respect to the Laker players and organization but is happy that he doesn't have to be behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He noted a few times throughout the interview that he's forever grateful for what Anthony Davis and LeBron James taught him. It's tough getting the looks that a player wants when they are playing behind two of the best players in the NBA, and arguably the best player of all time. He has excelled this season for the Wizards and it looks like everything that James and Davis taught him is getting put to work.

Kuzma and the Wizards have had a great season as they're currently in first place of the Eastern Conference. They currently sit at 10-3 on the season and have shocked many. Kuzma was traded to the Wizards in a package for Superstar Russell Westbrook. The Wizards were also able to add Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harris. Washington will look to continue their hot play as they take on the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.
