The Washington Wizards will be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season! Said no one ever before the 2021-22 NBA campaign started. But so far, the Wizards have shut a lot of people up.

They improved to 14-8 on Wednesday night after soundly beating the Minnesota Timberwolves at home, 115-107. With the win, the Wizards are in a three-way logjam at second place in the Eastern Conference with the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks.

The Wizards have only lost twice at home this season, and big man Montrezl Harrell knows they simply can't let opponents invade their turf (via ESPN).

“You don't want to lose that edge at home, you don't want to lose that homecourt love and energy that you have at home. When you know you're not going to be in your home arena a lot throughout the month, you don't want to try to drop those games while you're at home.”

Harrell had 27 points, five rebounds, and three assists in just 21 minutes off the bench. The former Sixth Man of the Year has always been a passionate player, and he usually feeds off the cheers of the home crowd.

Four others finished in double-digit scoring for the Wizards, who bounced back from a sorry loss on the road to the San Antonio Spurs.

The Wizards will have another game at home on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers before embarking on a three-game road trip.
