The Washington Wizards have been dealing with injuries all year and it looks like they will be dealing with another one at least for the short term.

Otto Porter was injured during Thursday night's game against the Detroit Pistons when Reggie Jackson drove to the rim and stepped on Porters foot.

Porter was then helped off the court and wasn't able to put any weight on the ankle. Soon after the Washington Wizards announced he would be doubtful to return to the game.

There is no actual report on how long he will be out but with him not being able to put any weight on the foot it seems like it could be a couple of games.

Porter was able to play 16 minutes against the Pistons putting up seven points, two rebounds, and two assists.

This is just another in the long list of injuries that the Wizards have had to deal with this season. The biggest happened to John Wall although he seems to be getting closer and closer to a return.

If Porter does have to miss an extended period of time it would be a blow to the Wizards who are fighting for playoff positioning.

Porter has played in 70 games this year and has averaged 14.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He is a  sharpshooter from deep averaging 43.4 percent from deep.

The Wizards are currently sitting in the 6th spot in the Eastern Conference but are only two games ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks who sit in 8th. They are also 3.5 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers who sit in 3rd place so they still have a lot left to play for as the season winds down.
