The Washington Wizards really want to keep Thomas Bryant.

After what could be said as a disappointing season that saw them miss the playoffs with a measly 32-5o win-loss record, the Wizards are now looking to improve their roster. However, before they look at free agency, they are expected to keep their key assets.

Bryant, who had a terrific season with the Wizards this past 2018-19 campaign, is reportedly one of the team's priorities to re-sign this summer.

The 21-year-old center produced a breakout season with the Wizards, putting up 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He also shot 61.6 percent from the field and 78.1 percent from the free-throw line in a season which saw him start in 53 out of 72 contests.

Remarkably, his production came after a campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers in which he only averaged 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds in 15 games.

Washington recently extended a qualifying offer to Bryant, showing their intention to keep him. However, given the season he had, the young center is expected to get some good offers in a free agency market that is lacking in quality big men.

Given the recent developments though, the Wizards will certainly match any offer sheet that Bryant receives as a restricted free agent.
