Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook was called for traveling in a play where he was dribbling versus Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Harris. After the whistle was blown, the nine-time All-Star wasn’t happy with the call, even mimicking the referee with an animated three steps to reference the violation.

There’s no question that this is on-brand Russell Westbrook, who plays best when he is competitive on the court. His reaction in this play is one of the many he has done throughout his career. It just shows his passion for the sport and love for winning games.

Westbrook, who was traded by the Houston Rockets for John Wall, is averaging a near triple double of 21.8 points, 9.6 rebounds and 10.2 assists per game heading into Sunday's contest. If you remove his turnovers and occasional technical fouls, he’s probably a good catch for fantasy basketball players out there.

For what it's worth, it's not the only lowlight Westbrook had early in the game, as Kyrie Irving made his presence known as well. Irving, who’s coming off a 43-point game versus the Orlando Magic last Friday, bullied Westbrook in the paint to score a gimme.

This season, the Wizards have already defeated the Nets twice. However, since they last went up against each other, the Brooklyn has revamped its roster, adding Blake Griffin in the fold.
