The Washington Wizards sit in 12th place in the Eastern Conference and are in the mix for the play-in game this year. Thanks to Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, the Wizards have remained in the hunt for a potential spot in the postseason. The month of April has been a roller coaster for the organization, but for Russell Westbrook, it's been one of his best. In fact, he's on the verge of breaking Michael Jordan's record of most triple-doubles recorded in the month of April, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Westbrook has been a triple-double machine, pumping them out on a regular basis since the departure of Kevin Durant while the two were still playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Westbrook has already broken the record for the most triple-doubles in a season, after having 42 of them in the 2016-17 season.

He's closing in on Oscar Robertson's record of 181 career triple-doubles, which has held since 1974. Westbrook is securing his name in the history books, as it appears he's trying to break every triple-double record in the NBA. Westbrook has put up so many triple-doubles that he's managed to normalize this incredible statistical feat in the eyes of at least some fans.

He's a fierce competitor and is known to play angry. The way he throws it down with authority and talks trash to his opponents, Westbrook has become a fan favorite wherever he goes. This season, the Wizards point guard is averaging a triple-double per game (again), as he's holding a stat line of 22.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 10.8 assists per game.

Westbrook will have a chance to break Michael Jordan's record on Saturday night, as the Washington Wizards take on the Detroit Pistons.
