The Los Angeles Lakers broadcast guys just put on their wizard's hat and magically turned Russell Westbrook into Isaiah Thomas. Ahead of the Monday night match-up between the Lakers and the Washington Wizards, the TV crew mistakenly put the face of the former Wizards point guard under Westbrook's name.

Someone's mind was probably still working from home (via Bleacher Report).

Good thing Spectrum SportNet's Bill MacDonald was an absolute professional and was unfazed by the mix-up as he carried on and introduced the Wizards' starting five.

In fairness to whoever made the error, it was probably due to Westbrook donning the same number as IT used to rock in his Wizards days. Thomas last appeared in the NBA as a member of the 2019-20 Wizards team, wearing jersey no. 4 and started 37 of 40 games. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Clippers before being ultimately waived. He's currently playing for Team USA in the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup Qualifiers.

With that being said, Thomas and Westbrook are still two incomparable figures. Just looking at his game-day fits, one could easily spot Westbrook with one eye open. And, though Thomas was an All-Star in his prime, Westbrook is the far more accomplished NBA athlete. The former MVP remains to be a triple-double machine in his 13th season in the NBA. He is a nine-time All-Star and a nine-time All-NBA Team member, a two-time scoring champion, and two-time assists leader.

Needless to say the difference between Russell Westbrook and Isaiah Thomas, both in accolades and looks, is quite stark.
