Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook just keeps making history. The former league MVP has once again made his mark in the NBA record books following what has been a 2016-17-like flurry of games over the past couple of weeks.

Russ put forth another all-around performance during Saturday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks, and it has resulted in another feather in his cap (h/t NBA on ESPN on Twitter):

On Saturday, Westbrook finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists. He did not come close to a triple-double (tonight saw his four-game triple-double streak come to an end), but his production allowed him to raise his average over the past six games to 21.8 points, 15.2 rebounds, and 11.8 assists.

As indicated in the tweet above, the only players to have achieved a similar feat were Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson. Those are two all-time greats, and at this point, it no longer comes as a surprise whenever Westbrook is mentioned in the same breath with the legends of the game.

Unfortunately for the Wizards, Westbrook's heroics were all for nothing as Washington suffered another loss. That's now three straight defeats for the Wizards, who continue to be without Bradley Beal. The All-Star shooting guard has been on the shelf with a right hip contusion and has already missed four games to date. He was tagged as questionable to play on Saturday, though, so all signs are pointing to a possible return for Beal in the near future. For the Wizards, they clearly just can't wait to get their star back on the floor.
