The Washington Wizards were able to take care of business on Saturday night as they took down the Portland Trail Blazers on the road. Following Washington's impressive victory, Russell Westbrook got candid about how he was able to improve his play on Saturday.

Throughout his career, Westbrook has never been a particularly efficient shooter on the offensive end. However, during Saturday night's win over the Trail Blazers, Westbrook shot a season-high 64.7 percent from the field, making 11 of his 17 field-goal attempts.

The veteran point guard would also contribute 11 rebounds and 13 assists to give him his eighth triple-double of the season, making it his third in a row. Above all, with Washington ending Portland's six-game winning streak, they've now conjured up a four-game winning streak of their own.

Due to the team's recent success, Scott Brooks made sure players aren't getting complacent after the Wizards' recent victory.

The Wizards still have a long ways to go before they are where they want to be, which is in a spot to sneak into the playoffs. Despite their latest four-game winning streak, Washington still holds a dismal 10-17 record, giving them the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference.

The crazy part about the Eastern Conference is that the Wizards, who are the 13th seed currently, are only 8.5 games behind first place in the playoff race and only four behind for home court advantage. While they still have plenty of work to do to make an improbable run to the postseason, if Westbrook can consistently be efficient, then Washington could be a team to keep an eye on in the second half of the season.
