Russell Westbrook has been doing Russell Westbrook things in the past couple of days for the Washington Wizards. It’s what makes the Brodie so great, filling the stat sheet with impressive numbers on a daily basis.

Westbrook has gotten a ton of praise and criticism for doing this in the past couple of years, though. The latest criticism came from the ever-so-vocal Stephen A. Smith, who pointed out on First Take that Westbrook’s numbers mean nothing.

Of course, this garnered a ton of reaction from Wizards fans and, surprisingly, from Westbrook’s wife herself, Nina Westbrook.

Mrs. Westbrook shared her strong thoughts via Instagram story on Tuesday, clapping back on what Smith said. To give a gist, Mrs. Westbrook pointed out that Brodie not having championships doesn’t lessen what he has done throughout his career. The Wizards star is someone who has fought the odds and is a champion in life—someone who cares about his community, the people around him and making the world a better place.

To back up what Mrs. Westbrook said, Russell is indeed one of the best and most athletic point guards to grace the hardwood. He constantly puts up numbers in the stat sheets that no longer gets people surprised because he is Russell Westbrook. He is also a true leader, someone who will give it his all every single game. Even Wizards superstar Bradley Beal will vouch for all this about Russ.

Instead of nitpicking Westbrook’s non-existent championships, it’s better to talk about how incredible of a talent he is. On Tuesday, Westbrook became the second player in NBA history to average 25 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in three games. Westbrook also broke the Wizards’ triple double record after just his 38th game this season, which is pretty remarkable since only few players in the league can do  it,
