Following the Washington Wizards' Sunday night 136-104 mauling at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers, head coach Scott Brooks' job is reportedly still secure — for the time being, at least.

The Wizards are now 1-5 to start the new campaign and currently hold one of the worst records in the league. Only the Cleveland Cavaliers — who just fired head coach Tyronn Lue — have a worse record at 0-6.

Nevertheless, it appears the front office is confident that Brooks is still the right man for the job, and there are currently no plans to take him out of the equation.

“Despite the Washington Wizards falling to 1-5 following an embarrassing 32-point loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, head coach Scott Brooks continues to have the full support of the franchise, league sources told Yahoo Sports,” writes Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

This is Brooks' third season with the Wizards, with his first two years resulting in early postseason exits for the team. There is still a long way to go this season, and the Wizards remain favorites to emerge as playoff contenders in a wide-open Eastern Conference.
