Prior to their game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks took a hilarious jab at the Purple and Gold franchise and their seemingly quick player turnover.

Brooks joked that he is already taking a look at the LA bench, as he is expecting to get some of them next season.

The joke stems from the Wizards currently having big man Thomas Bryant, Mo Wagner and Isaac Bonga on the roster — all of whom previously came off the bench for the Lakers.

Bryant, a second round pick in 2017, played in only 15 games in his rookie season. He was released by the Lakers after less than a year with the team only to be picked up by the Wizards just days later.

This season, as the Wizards starting center, Bryant is averaging 14.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

Similarly, both Wagner and Bonga played sparsely in their 2018-19 rookie seasons for Los Angeles. Both players, along with forward Jemerrio Jones, were sent to Washington in order to clear cap space for Anthony Davis this summer.

Both Bonga and Wagner have seen increased roles since being traded, with Wagner in particular upping his scoring to 12.3 points per game from 4.8 in his rookie year.
