The Washington Wizards reportedly have no imminent plans to reach out to Toronto Raptors to speak with their president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

That means there is no massive offer being prepared, as it was reported soon after Ujiri's Raptors won the NBA Finals after a 114-110 Game 6 triumph over the Golden State Warriors.

News of the Wizards' colossal offer in line for Ujiri came suspiciously timed right after the Raptors had clinched the title. Though reports of owner Ted Leonsis steadfast interest in Ujiri coming to Washington had been making waves for more than a month.

Leonsis fired longtime president Ernie Grunfeld at the end of the season, putting an end to his 16 years with the franchise.

Since, he's interviewed a great deal of candidates, including Tim Connelly of the Denver Nuggets, who turned down the offer to return to his post.

The Wizards currently have interim executive Tommy Sheppard at the head of the front office, and while he's reportedly been considered for the job of president, it's likely Leonsis is looking for much bigger names to bring this franchise some stability.

Washington will have some vital decisions to make, as shooting guard Bradley Beal will soon be on the verge of a contract year, and he's generated plenty of interest throughout the league as a potential trade target.

It's unlikely the Raptors will let Ujiri leave his position at such a pivotal time, as it was he who became the architect of this team and the one that traded for Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, now in line to convince him to re-sign with the team after a rousing first season in Canada.
