Bradley Beal is being mentioned in recent trade rumors, but the Washington Wizards appears determined to keep him beyond the 2019-20 NBA season.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, several teams are monitoring the situation of Beal and if the Wizards will eventually put him on the trading block. However, Woj indicated that Washington is not planning to trade Beal. In fact, the Capital city team is looking to lock him up to a three-year, $111 million contract extension in July.

Beal, who has spent his entire seven-year NBA career with the Wizards, is coming off the best season of his career. The 25-year-old superstar averaged career-highs 25.6 points, 5.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game in the 2018-19 season.

The Wizards still have control on Beal's future even if the former Florida Gator decides not to sign the contract extension that they are planning to offer next month. The former third-overall pick still has two years left in his five-year, $127.2 million contract.

The New Orleans Pelicans are among the teams who are reportedly keeping an eye on Beal. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Pelicans are planning to offer a package centered on the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft for Beal, but it appears the Wizards still want to build their team around the two-time All-Star.
