The Washington Wizards are slated to sign point guard Ramon Sessions to a second 10-day contract, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

The team had not informed Sessions of their decision until after Sunday's game, where he sat out as DNP-coach's decision against the Indiana Pacers.

“He’s a worker. He hasn’t gotten any opportunities. That might change [Sunday] night,” head coach Scott Brooks said Friday, as the Wizards faced the Toronto Raptors.

Washington is now mired in a three-game skid, losing games to the defending champion Golden State Warriors, the Raptors, and most-recently the Pacers, failing to muster very much firepower in either of the last three games.

The Wizards recently only managed to get nine points and three assists in 40 minutes of combined play between starter Tomas Satoransky and backup Tim Frazier against the Pacers.

In a night when the well ran dry for marksman Bradley Beal, who shot a measly 8-of-27 from the field — the team was unable to get production from the point guard spot in either points or assists — sorely missing the talents of a star point guard like John Wall, who should be out for another two-to-four weeks after undergoing a knee procedure.

Sessions could make a difference as a veteran voice and an experience player at the position.

“Man, listen. Growing up where I grew up [Myrtle Beach, S.C.], just always wanting to be in the NBA was a dream for me,” Sessions said Friday. “I’ve been in the league for 11 years, and it’s still one of those things when I wake up, I still look back and [say], ‘Man, I’m in the NBA!’ Each day is a blessing to me, and it’s still a dream come true to be here. Being drafted in ’07 and still be playing in the NBA.

“Ten-day or one-day, that name on the back of the jersey means a lot to me and my family.”
