Washington Wizards forward Otto Porter Jr. has been ruled out of Saturday night's matchup against the Phoenix Suns:

Porter has missed the last five games with a knee injury. MRI scans that were taken earlier this week revealed a strain of the right vastus medialis. Reports that were released after the scans indicated that he would be out of commission for roughly four games. For now, he's listed as day-to-day.

Without a doubt, Otto Porter Jr. is an important piece of Washington's rotation. The former No. 3 overall pick has made 25 appearances with the team this season, racking up averages of 11.7 points on 48.7 percent shooting from the field (36.8 percent from beyond the arc), 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 29.5 minutes per outing.

With Porter ruled out for Saturday's game, Trevor Ariza will likely see an uptick in his usage rate. Though he has only played in two games since being traded to the team, Ariza is already making an impact. In fact, he posted 15 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in Wednesday's loss to the Houston Rockets. In his first game with the Wizards, Ariza hoisted 11 3-pointers, so he's clearly willing to shoot the rock.
