The Washington Wizards made a huge trade to acquire Russell Westbrook. It was a risk, but they have surely upgraded the talent on their team, especially since John Wall hadn't played in years.

On the daily Locked On Wizards podcast, hosts Anthony Cittadino and Ben Mehić discussed where Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook rank among the duos in the league and decided that with Klay Thompson out, the Wizards have the best backcourt in the NBA:

Anthony Cittadino: Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook are probably the best backcourt in the East and up there as the backcourt in the league.

Ben Mehić: Are they the best backcourt in the league?

Anthony: I mean… I'm not saying… Ok, overall we have not seen them play one regular-season game yet. In my mind, just putting them both together there they are at the top as the best backcourt in the league.

Ben: So there's Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson,  but obviously Klay is out rehabbing. The only other backcourt standout is Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, right? I think Damian Lillard is probably the best player of all of them if you're comparing the Blazers and Wizards guys, but McCollum is probably the worst player in the four. Now there's Devin Booker and Chris Paul. The Wizards duo could very well be the best backcourt unless I'm just blanking on someone.

Anthony: I wouldn't argue with you.

Ben: Do you know who I blanked on? James Harden and John Wall, we've already forgotten about John Wall that quickly.
