The Washington Wizards and New York Knicks faced off tonight for the NBA’s annual London game at O2 Arena. The game went down to the wire until the very last second, when the Wizards pulled away with a victory off a goaltend with 0.4 seconds left on the clock. As Thomas Bryant steamed towards the basket after setting a screen, Allonzo Trier went up for the block that was immediately followed by a whistle and then a goaltending call. The call gave Washington the 101-100 win.

Thomas Bryant, who has played 34 games for the Wizards in his first year with the team this season, had a solid outing in addition to the game winner. Bryant notched 10 points on 5-7 shooting and flirted with a double-double also posting 9 rebounds.

The Wizards, led by Bradley Beal’s game-high 26 points, now move to 19-26 on the season with the much-needed win. Playing without John Wall, who is set to miss the rest of the season, are fighting to get every win they can in order to push themselves back into playoff position.

The rookie Trier also showed out with some decent numbers, finishing with 10 points on 5-8 shooting, three assists, two rebounds, and a steal. Unfortunately, his efforts, even combined with 25 from Emmanuel Mudiay’s 25 and three other Knicks in double figures, wasn’t enough for a New York victory. The loss brings the Knicks to 1-2 in the games they have played in London and 10-34 overall.
