The Washington Wizards upset the Dallas Mavericks on Friday at home on a Bradley Beal game winning layup at the buzzer.

The Wizards won by a final score of 119-118:

Beal finished with 29 points, five rebounds and eight assists in 39 minutes of action. The Wizards improved to 18-32 with the win.

This type of play is exactly why Wizards and basketball fans as a whole are upset that Beal isn't playing in the All-Star game. He came into Friday averaging 29.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists. Those are All-Star numbers and the Wizards' poor record shouldn't have hurt Beal's All-Star stock.

Beal and Washington are still technically in the playoff hunt since the back half of the East is terrible. It would surely be a great story to watch Beal lead DC to the playoffs without All-Star point guard John Wall by his side.
