The last 24 hours for John Wall and the Washington Wizards have not been good, but Tuesday night could be a step in the right direction.

Washington erased a 24-point deficit at home against the L.A. Clippers and wound up winning by a final score of 125-118. John Wall led the way with 30 points and eight assists, while Bradley Beal added 27.

Wall was fined by the Wizards for cursing out head coach Scott Brooks during a practice recently. The All-Star was also mentioned in trade rumors, as the Wizards have gotten off to a poor start this season. After defeating the Clippers, John Wall addressed the trade rumors and said it's amazing what people are saying about him right now when all he does is give his best effort to the team every day.

It's only one game, so we shouldn't get too carried away, but this was a good comeback win for the Wizards. The Clippers entered Tuesday on a five-game winning streak. When Washington got down by 24, they could have folded and just gave up. They didn't, and they were rewarded with the win.

The Wizards are now 6-11 on the season. They have a long ways to go climbing out of this hole they dug themselves in. It's going to be up to John Wall and Bradley Beal to lead this team, both on and off the court.
