The Washington Wizards may have struck out in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes, but they aren’t done looking at potential free agents to improve their team.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the top of the Wizards list are reportedly sharp shooter Ryan Anderson, Al Horford and Nicolas Batum.

Team President Ernie Grunfeld spoke with the Washington Post to offer his thoughts about improving the team.

“Every year is different. We know what we'd like to do, but it doesn't always work that way. This year is obviously going to be a lot different because all the additional cap space that a lot of teams have, so we're going to make our calls.
We're going to talk to people, and what the timing is going to be remains to be seen.”

Among their top three choices, Horford is the longest shot, with heavy competition from multiple teams, and a possible year max deal offering from the Atlanta Hawks, the Wizards will have to put everything they can to convince him to sign in DC.

Currently the Wizards have only five players under contract, and will be looking to sign Bradley Beal to a max extension soon starting around $25 million per year.
