Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley found himself in a heap of controversy after pictures of him going out with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen, leaked out on social media. What made this even worse is that this happened in the midst of Wolves star's marriage with his estranged wife Montana Yao.

It appears like the Malik Beasley drama has taken a surprising legal turn. According to Johnni Mecki of Us Magazine, a recent court filing denied Montana Yao's request for “temporary spousal maintenance” from Beasley.

The model was denied “temporary spousal maintenance” on Monday but was granted temporary child support in the amount of $6,500 per month.

Yao’s request for a $15,000 advance from the estranged couple’s marital estate has been deferred. She was also denied her request for $20,000 to pay her attorney’s fees.

You gotta feel bad for Montana Yao and her 2-year old son with the Timberwolves guard. After Beasley and Pippen's PDA scandal broke out on the internet, Montana revealed that she was “blindsided” by the pictures and didn't even know that they had already been separated.

Montana filed for divorce shortly after and reportedly requested a $5,000 monthly spousal support and $8,000 monthly child support from Beasley, who just inked a 4-year, $60 million deal this off-season to remain in Minnesota.

The 24-year old millionaire could definitely pay that in his sleep and it's the least he could do for leaving his family. No doubt, Beasley, who is averaging 20.0 points and 4.5 rebounds this season, is one of the more promising and talented players on the Wolves. However, it seems like he has his fair share of troubles off the court and has made headlines for the wrong reasons.

Apart from this Larsa Pippen-Montana Yao scandal, Beasley is currently in the midst of his 12-game suspension for getting arrested during the off-season.
