World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is the eighth expansion of World of Warcraft, following Battle for Azeroth. First released in November last year, Chains of Domination will be the first major update for the expansion. Shadowlands is the realm of the dead in Warcraft lore. Sylvanas Windrunner murdered High Overlord Saurfang and destroyed the Lich King's Helm of Domination, causing a rupture in the worlds of the living and the dead. It's later revealed that Sylvanas made a deal with The Jailer, which explains why she has been committing crimes in Azeroth, which were done at the behest of The Jailer.
