Baseball season has finally arrived. After an unordinary and shortened season in 2020 due to Covid-19, the MLB will return to a more familiar form (fingers crossed) in 2021. With the 2021 MLB Opening Day here, let's take a look at some of the odds, including the World Series odds favorites.

It should come as no surprise that the odds on favorite to win the World Series entering the season is the defending champions Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers come in with their odds set at +325 to repeat this year.

The Dodgers are not only bringing back most of the same team that won it all in 2020. They have also added ace Trevor Bauer to bolster up the starting rotation. With a lineup that includes the likes of Mookie Betts, Cody Bellinger, Corey Seager, Justin Turner, and more, it's a fair choice to have the Dodgers start out as the favorites.

The New York Yankees check in as the top dog in the American League to win it all, with odds posted at +550. Many believed last year would be the season the Yankees brought home yet another title, but it wasn't meant to be as they were outed in the postseason by the Tampa Bay Rays.

It's a loaded lineup for manager Aaron Boone once again, with just a few holes to find for opposing pitchers. The question for the Yankees mostly revolves around their own rotation. Gerrit Cole is the ace, undoubtedly, but there are plenty of questions behind him. The Yankees are banking on Corey Kluber having gas left in the tank after back-to-back injury-riddled seasons. They'll look for solid seasons from Domingo German and Jameson Taillon as well.

Could we see a Dodgers-Yankees World Series? Time will tell. For now, enjoy the calendar flip to April as the MLB fires up its season.
