Former ESPN personality Adnan Virk is already out with the WWE. The company, through a release on its website, announced the two parties mutually agreed to separate.

The statement is only a single line of text that reads:

WWE and Adnan Virk have mutually agreed to part ways. WWE thanks Adnan for his work.

And that ends a very short era.

For those who might not remember, Adnan Virk was fired from ESPN after being found out to be a company leak to certain blogs and outlets. After that, he started to quickly find work elsewhere, eventually landing with the WWE just a short time go.

Upon joining Vince McMahon and company, he was tossed in the insanely important role of main play-by-play announcer on flagship programming. While he did his best to keep his energy high and the like, there were often times he appeared unfamiliar with the product and even some general wrestling moves.

Hindsight suggests that the WWE put him in too high profile a position too quickly. It's no one's fault this didn't work as either party likely hoped it would. Alas, here is to hoping Adnan Virk will find other suitable work elsewhere. Big boy companies like the WWE and ESPN will obviously be just fine.
