When news broke that Rhea Ripley was out for Money in the Bank with an undisclosed injury, it sent minor shockwaves through the WWE Universe and generated a ton of questions.

Why was Ripley unable to go at MitB? Does it have to do with her teeth? And what about Bianca Belair, the woman she was supposed to face off against at Money in the Bank? Was the Raw Woman's Champion simply off of the card entirely, or would she instead face someone else on the Las Vegas-based premium event?

While fans didn't get an answer to all of those questions, they did at least find out who would take Ripley's place to become Belair's foe and even got to witness a fun, fatal five-way to decide it too.

Taking the ring at the start of Raw, Belair announced that the promotion would hold a match to decide her for, with Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Asuka, Alexis Bliss, and a returning Carmella, now fully de-Fiend-ified, fighting for a singles match at the Pay-Per-View without needing to win Money in the Bank first.

The results? Carmella secured the pin in her first match since WrestleMania 38, and no one was more excited about it than Corey Graves, who just married the WWE Superstar back in April.

Will Carmella shock the world and become a two-time WWE singles championship, with one belt from RAW and another from SmackDown? Eh, probably not, but hey, that's why they hold the matches, right? All it takes is one move, three seconds, and a raised hand for Carmella to be a champion.
