After a weird run in WWE notorious for some very weird outfit choices and the absence of his valet, Scarlett, Karrion Kross has re-emerged on the indies as Killer Kross, a character oddly reminiscent of his former NXT presentation, where he overpowered lesser foes and bested bigger foes with his domineering style.

Since re-debuting at FSW Mecca VII: Doomsday, where he won the promotion's vacant belt in a barn-burner versus Jakob Fatu, Kross has been on a tear, securing a 15-1 record with his lone loss coming to Minoru Suzuki on the NJPW STRONG Lonestar Shootout Pay-Per-View.

But now, Kross will have to face his greatest challenge yet, as he's been booked to wrestle Matt Cross, who Lucha Underground fans may know as Son of Havoc and WWE fans might remember from Tough Enough Season 5, in a bout for Major League Wrestling at MLW Battle Riot IV.

Now, for fans in the know, this isn't Kross' first time in an MLW, both during post-WWE run and overall. He famously wrestled in one event for the promotion – featuring a singles win over Tom Lawlor via DQ and a multi-man win over Team Filthy alongside Davey Boy Smith Jr., and The Von Erichs – before jumping ship to The Fed in 2020, and has since wrestled a squash win over Budd Heavy back in February but in Cross, the once and current Killer will have one of his toughest challenges yet, as there just aren't many performers with more experience and thus respect, on the indies today. If Kross tears the roof off of the Melrose Ballroom in New York who knows, maybe he'll earn a bigger opportunity in the not-to-distant future.
