WWE and celebrity wrestlers often mix as well as oil and water. There used to be a time when a celebrity guest appearance would be jeered by hardcore fans of the scene. Over the last few years, though, there has been a rather big change in the perception of guest wrestlers.

From Pat McAfee to Logan Paul to Bhad Bunny, the WWE has somehow found a way to find celebrities who are half-decent at wrestling. All three of these guys have performed in pay-per-views and did way better than expected. Now, another big star is rumored to potentially make a return on the company.

Dave Meltzer said that he has been hearing rumors that Tyson Fury could be making his return to the WWE soon. The long-time wrestling insider revealed that the company has big plans to put together a match between Tyson Fury and Drew McIntyre in the future.

The idea, according to Meltzer, is for McIntyre to gain more popularity outside the wrestling space. However, in that same report, Meltzer noted that one of the wrestlers that Tyson Fury wants to face is… Logan Paul.

A potential Paul-Fury bout in a pay-per-view would certainly draw more attention than a McIntyre-Fury match. For one, both Logan Paul and Tyson Fury are incredibly popular outside the ring. The real-life feud between their brothers Jake Paul and Tommy Fury also add more intrigue and can be a potential storytelling device in the match.

However, giving a featured match to two relatively inexperienced wrestlers is a risky decision. Paul looked excellent in his Wrestlemania debut, but he was in the ring with two veterans in The Miz and Rey Mysterio. Fury, meanwhile, had his only wrestling match against Braun Strowman, who's not exactly known for his pristine in-ring work. Letting Fury work with an experienced guy like McIntyre seems like the better play here.

As it stands, the only thing stopping a Fury return is the price tag. We will keep you updated on further developments on this story.
