Paul Wight, known affectionately to wrestling fans as “Big Show” has rekindled the year-old rumors of a WWE match between himself and NBA Hall-of-Fame center, Shaquille O'Neal.

Previously, Big Show wrestled under the WWE, which had a lot more “Red tape” with regards to bringing non-WWE athletes into the ring. Now with AEW, Wight sees the possibility of a match with O'Neal as more realistic than ever before.

Shaquille O'Neal has performed in the AEW before and has been present within the WWE. He's one of the biggest crowd favorites the league has seen. A matchup between the 7-foot-one, 330 pound O'Neal and the seven-foot 400 pound Wight, would be one of the biggest events that AEW has ever had.

WWE superstar the Big Show certainly knows that even going as far as to say, “I think this is an opportunity for us to have that spectacle match and have some fun with it. Honestly, I think it’s closer to happening than it’s ever been.”

A match between two of the biggest men to ever grace the planet earth would certainly bring more than just wrestling fans to their TVs, it would be a match made for pay-per-view heaven. Not only are these two of the biggest guys out there but their personalities and out of the arena ventures have endeared both of them to fans everywhere.

It would have been awesome to see these two behemoths battle it out in the WWE, as Wight says that he would have to lose close to 20 pounds in order to make the AEW fight happen, all fans agree that he can and should make it happen and get into the ring with Shaq.

“I’m ready for it. I'm sure Shaq is, too. I know the last time I saw him, he's been training a lot, working out in the gym, which gives me a little bit of an identity crisis. I'm used to being the big guy and I'm like, ‘Holy crap. He's going to have like 20 pounds on me now, I've got to get my ass in the gym!'”

It's safe to say, if this match comes to fruition, the WWE will likely feel like they missed out.
