XEL is coming out on PC on July 12, 2022, on the Nintendo Switch on July 14, 2022, and later in 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X. The release date for XEL on other consoles is currently not yet announced.l

Zelda-inspired 3D action-adventure game XEL comes out as developers Tiny Roar's second game and is published by Assemble Entertainment. In XEL, you play as amnesiac Reid, shipwrecked on the mysterious land of XEL. You have no other recourse but to explore this strange land and find out why you're here, learn about your past and your connection with this place. Here, there are a lot of environmental puzzles, inhabitants that could either be friends or foes, and strange gadgets that let you travel through space and time. Unravel the mystery of XEL and break the cycle of danger and peril.

Apart from the fantasy world full of challenges and threats, XEL offers a vibrantly-colored world and enamoring music composed by Gidon Wolff. Both the graphics and music match well with both the game's hack and slash combat and the more pensive moments in the game where you try to solve environmental puzzles in the game's numerous dungeons. The graphics and music meld the overworld and the dungeons pretty well and help keep you immersed in the world through the transitions. XEL also gives players the chance to improve their weapons and equipment with an upgrade system.
