Aaron Judge rejected a seven-year, $213.5 million contract offer from the New York Yankees before Opening Day back in April. Many believed the hulking slugger was making a big mistake. Instead, Judge seems to be performing one of the all-time mic drops in the 2022 season. The All-Star outfielder owns 25 home runs through his first 60 games, joining Yankees legends and Hall of Famers Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle, per ESPN Stats and Info.

Judge joined Ruth in 1928 and Mantle in 1956 as the only sluggers in Yankees' history with 25 dingers in their first 60 games played. While The Judge's furious gavel-slamming is a bit off the pace of the Sultan of Swat and the Commerce Comet, he still appears to be on pace for a 2022 season worthy of the history books.

Both 1928 Ruth and 1956 Mantle went on to club 54 and 52 homers respectively, with the latter going on to win the Triple Crown and MVP in a magical season. Each of their clubs went on to win the World Series on the backs of the mighty sluggers.

One can bet that Judge would take either of those seasons for the Yankees in 2022. All eyes will be on the Bronx this summer to see if Judge can break the franchise record for homers, set by Roger Maris, who belted 61 in 1961.

That would be special company once again for Judge.
