Aaron Judge has been an outfield fixture for the New York Yankees for the past half decade. He's been there long enough that he can take what the New York crowd dishes out when things aren't going great.

Yankees fans were heard audibly raining boos on Aaron Judge during the team's 3-0 shutout loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday for their series opener. Judge spoke candidly on the boo birds after the game.

“It's not rare. I've been hearing it since 2016. It's nothing new. Nothing new,” said the Yankees star.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone chalked it up to a bad set of circumstances. The home team just didn't have much juice and Aaron Judge himself had a poor outing, going 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts. Boone admitted he heard the boos but still knows the fans have his star's back.

“Coming off a big weekend series. You have a Monday crowd. You tend to hear those things. The boos sometimes drowned out some of the cheering, especially in a game where we're not generating a lot. That sometimes goes with playing. Judgie's got plenty of support out there,” said the Yankees manager.

The hostility may not simply be from that lone contest. More than a handful of fans are upset at the news that Aaron Judge turned down a hefty contract extension from the Yankees to chase a bigger deal.

This could be the last season for Aaron Judge in pinstripes. The boos from his home fans likely aren't helping the cause for him to stay.
