Josh Donaldson has been deeply embroiled in his beef with Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson. While it's no surprise that Anderson's teammates are some outside observers are voicing out against the former American League MVP, what Donaldson can't get over is that members of the New York Yankees have also piled on.

Both fellow outfielder Aaron Judge and Yankees skipper Aaron Boone have been vocal about their displeasure over Donaldson's interaction with Anderson, whom he referred to as “Jackie” in reference to the legendary Jackie Robinson, which was branded as a quip with racial undertones.

Donaldson doesn't agree with that assessment, appealing his one-game suspension over the incident that occurred during a Yankee-White Sox game on May 21st. He also admitted that he was affected by the words from the members of his own organization.

“I think that was tough to hear, for sure, just for the simple fact that I pride myself on being a good teammate, and everywhere I've went, every organization that I've been a part of, minus Oakland, has offered me extensions, has wanted me to stay back,” said Donaldson on the Yankees' comments against him.

Josh Donaldson has since made a public apology to the Robinson family.
