The New York Yankees have dealt with a myriad of injuries throughout the 2019 season, with nearly all of their marquee names missing extended amounts of time and guys like Miguel Andujar being sidelined for the entire season.

However, the Bronx Bombers have managed to brave the storm and then some as they have stampeded to a 95-51 record entering play on Thursday afternoon.

Things are looking even sunnier in New York with news surfacing that starting pitcher Luis Severino and slugger Giancarlo Stanton are both slated to make their respective returns next week:

Severino's return in particular could have a massive impact on this Yankees club. For all of their success this season, New York has had a below-average starting rotation.

Prior to the start of play on Thursday, Yankees starters rank 17th in the MLB in fWAR and ERA, and guys like C.C. Sabathia have dealt with injuries all year.

Meanwhile, Severino has yet to make an appearance this season. The right-hander was put on the shelf after experiencing rotator cuff inflammation during Sprian Training, then suffered a lat strain during his rehab process.

Severino had a rough line in his lone rehab appearance at Triple-A, but his velocity was back to normal and he was sharp with the breaking ball.

For his part, Stanton has not played since the end of June, and he has made just nine appearances in his second year with the Yankees.

Stanton had bicep and shoulder issues in April, and has been dealing with a PCL strain in his right knee.
