Sacramento Kings power forward Zach Randolph has been charged with two misdemeanors, stemming from an Aug. 9 arrest in Los Angeles, according to TMZ Sports.

The longtime member of the Memphis Grizzlies was arrested in Nickerson Gardens in Watts earlier this month, which developed into a violent standoff between police and the individuals at the location.

Randolph was previously charged with possession of marijuana and intent to sell (based on the large amount found in his confines), but the prosecutors later reduced the charges to a misdemeanor possession of more than an ounce of marijuana and a misdemeanor for resisting arrest.

If the 16-year veteran is convicted on both counts, he could face up to one year in jail, but given this being his first arrest, he's likely not to spend any time there.

The big man could face a potential ban from the NBA, now that personal conduct parameters are stricter than ever. Former Portland Trail Blazers teammate Rasheed Wallace also came in defense of his character, but warned that he could see some action from the league if the charges reflect he was at fault.

Randolph didn't seem very worried after TMZ Sports cameras saw him leaving jail, only hours after his arrest.
