Did Kobe Bryant just give his fans something to look forward to?

In a Twitter exchange that has not been verified yet to be true or not, the Los Angeles Lakers legend apparently replied to a young fan and hinted on being open to play in the All-Star game in February should he receive enough votes.

After an illustrious 20-year career, The Black Mamba decided to hang up his sneakers for good at the end of last season. He played his last game back in April against the Utah Jazz and scored 60 points to put a fitting end to what has been one of the best careers of any player in NBA history.

If the Twitter conversation isn't a hoax, it will certainly be interesting to see how his fans will react to the challenge he made and if he'll get enough votes to get into the mid-year showcase in New Orleans next month. Should he receive enough votes, he'll become the first retired player since Magic Johnson in 1992 to play in the All-Star game.
