Rumor has it 76ers legend Allen Iverson left his Hall of Fame trophy at the Springfield Sheraton where he stayed post-ceremony on Friday.

A listener of the Toucher and Rich podcast sent the photo, which they consequently posted on their Twitter account.

While it might just have been a forgetful casualty, given that he was dealing with family issues prior to his induction, it's still quite odd to have a mishap with such an important piece of hardware.

Or maybe he was on a rush on his way to practice?

Update: it was on purpose, so he technically didn't “leave” it there in the forgetting it sense.

Fran Judkins, the Senior Director of Professional Relations for the Hall of Fame, told TMZ Sports:

“About half of these players in the past 12 years have done this. [Inductees] leave their trophies at the hotel so they don’t have to worry about taking them on a plane or traveling with extra luggage. The hotel staff knows about this. They call me and let me know when I can pick up the trophies to ship to their houses. This is a very common thing to do. I also have another trophy that was left at the hotel [this year].”
