Andrew Bogut, who has never seemed shy about expressing his feelings on any particular subject, recently complained about the athletes' village for the 2016 Olympics that is taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

He has received some criticism lately for his comments as some believed it was a direct insult at Brazil. Due to the criticism, Bogut felt it was necessary to clarify his statement, per USA Today Sports' Sam Amick.

“The comments were never to disparage Brazil or the people of Brazil. I have very good friends that are Brazilian — (former Warriors teammates Leandro) Barbosa, and (Anderson) Varejao. It was more (meant for) the IOC than it was anybody.”

“They’re trying to get things right (in the athletes’ rooms). Like I said, I apologize to the people of Brazil. I never intended that to be a shot at them, it’s more a shot at the IOC to get out of the penthouse suites they’re staying in and get things rolling a bit better.”

During Bogut's stay so far, there has been a theft, in which two laptops and a t-shirt were stolen, after the building was evacuated due to a basement fire.

Andrew Bogut just want to have the athletes accommodated in the best way possible. And with them being professionals, his concern is completely understandable.
