Lakers‘ forward Brandon Bass will move on from the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2016-17 NBA season. According to Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Bass will forego his $3.13 million option and move on to another team.

Bass signed with the Lakers last July with the hope that he would have a more prominent role on the team. Unfortunately, Bass only averaged just over seven points and four rebounds in 20 minutes per game.

Without Bass, the Lakers now have just $23.12 million committed to players for the 2016-17 season, leaving their salary cap at roughly $90 million in a year expected to be full of big-ticket free agents.
