Unlike his other young teammates Julius Randle, D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram did not have the opportunity to play with Kobe Bryant as he retired last season following a stellar 20-year career.

Despite that being the case, Ingram still hopes that he'll get a chance to learn from one of the best to ever played the game, even if it's not in an NBA game.

The 19-year-old Duke product recently talked about how great it would be to workout with the Black Mamba and what lesson he looks forward to the most from him.

“It would be fun to play with him, but I think learning from Kobe. Just his demeanor, just him going on the court, his mentality. Just trying to pick his brain a little bit, the different things he sees on the court.

“I plan on it. I think any Laker, if they reached out to me, would be a good resource.”

Other players like Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard, Gordon Hayward, and even Ingram's fellow rookie, Buddy Hield, have all reportedly worked with Bryant in hopes of taking their games to the next level and further improving their skills.

Should Ingram get his chance to train with the Lakers great, it would certainly be huge for his development as a young player trying to make his mark in league. He can even ask Bryant to share some tips on how to thrive at a young age in the NBA as the former MVP and five-time champion also entered the league in his teenage years, though it was straight out of high school.
