The Milwaukee Bucks made a big move right before the trade deadline by bringing over Serge Ibaka as part of a three-team, multi-player trade with the Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Clippers. The defending champs are not done, though, as they are now closing in on a free agent that was recently released by the Brooklyn Nets.

ESPN's NBA inside Adrian Wojnarowski, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks are on the verge of signing 6-foot-5 wing DeAndre Bembry:

As Woj reported above, Bembry recently parted ways with Kevin Durant and the Nets. He was part of the fallout from the blockbuster deal between the Nets and the Sixers that saw James Harden and Ben Simmons swap teams.

The Bucks clearly see potential in Bembry as they have decided to sign him on a deal that will last until the end of this season. The 27-year-old is by no means a star, but he could prove to be an important part of Milwaukee's rotation the rest of the way.

In 48 games played for the Nets this season, Bembry produced averages of 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 steals in 19.8 minutes per contest. Prior to joining the Nets last summer, Bembry has also had stints with the Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors.
