C.J. McCollum is widely considered as one of the top rising stars of the NBA today. After winning the Most Improved Player award last season, he has followed it up with another solid campaign, which only increases his confidence.

That said, the Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard recently claimed that nobody in the league can stop him. He also added that he has felt that way since turning pro.

McCollum may have exaggerated with his statement, but this season, he has almost been unstoppable, enjoying career numbers of 23.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 35.0 minutes per game. Together with his backcourt partner Damian Lillard, they have turned around their season after a very slow start and are once again having a playoff appearance.

Although they are only ranked eighth in the Western Conference, it can be considered a big achievement for the young Blazers team, especially with the injuries their players have suffered throughout the year.

In Game 1 of their first round series against the Golden State Warriors, the 25-year-old was on fire finishing with 41 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Even if they lost the game, 121-109, there are still positive takeaways for their team, including McCollum's stellar play, which they can use in the series, as they try to upset their top-seeded opponents.
