The Arizona Cardinals were put in a challenging situation after DeAndre Hopkins was dinged for using PEDs. He's suspended for the first six games of the 2022 season, which hampers Arizona's chances in the first half of the year. Luckily the front office traded for Marquise Brown who should play a significant role for his new team. However, legendary wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald weighs in on Hopkins' legacy after this suspension.

According to TMZ, Larry Fitzgerald believes that DeAndre Hopkins will still be making his way to canton once his career is all said and done. The legendary Cardinals receiver claims, “He'll still be a Hall of Famer. He'll work through it. It's just some adversity and, you know, he's a tough guy, resourceful, and he'll work his way through it.”

At the end of the day, Fitzgerald is likely right. Hopkins has a long history of success as he's been one of the best receivers in the league for years. Although testing positive for PEDs isn't great, this shouldn't be something that prevents DeAndre Hopkins from entering the Hall of Fame. Additionally, once he returns to the field, he is likely to play at a high level for the Cardinals for the remainder of the season.

We'll see how it all plays out. Hopefully, Hopkins isn't kept out of Canton due to this unfortunate circumstance. Although he struggled with injuries last year, the Cardinals will be looking forward to DeAndre Hopkins taking the field again in Week 7. Keep an eye on the Cardinals, as they still have a shot at being one of the best teams in the NFC in the 2022 season.
