With a record of 28-46, the New York Knicks have just eight more games to play before they close out yet another disappointing season for the team. The Knicks entered the season with high expectations due to the offseason additions of Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose but the team never truly gelled together. They were inconsistent overall, struggled defensively and now New York will be missing out on the playoffs for the fourth straight year.

There is some hope for next season though as the Knicks do have their own draft pick. And since their odds of getting a high draft pick will only increase if New York continues to lose for the rest of the season, there is a growing sentiment among Knicks fans that the team should tank. But Carmelo Anthony is not a fan of that plan. In fact, Anthony has a response to those Knicks fans that want the team to tank — come and do it all by yourself.

While Anthony does sound a bit comical here, that's just his competitiveness getting the best of him. Like all players, Anthony just wants to win, which is exactly what the Knicks did on Monday, defeating the Pistons 109-95.

Tanking is also not a guaranteed way to get a high draft pick. It does help increase a team's odds though but based on Anthony's comments, it doesn't sound like the Knicks will be trying to tank the remainder of their season.
