With all the uncertainties the New York Knicks are currently facing, it does not come as a surprise that their franchise player is also left in the dark when it comes to their future plans.

Carmelo Anthony recently admitted, via ESPN's Ian Begley, that he is unaware of his team's direction, especially when they failed to make any moves before last month's trade deadline.

“No, not now. No, to be honest with you. I think they were kind of planning on the trade deadline, whether they were trying to make moves. I think that was one plan. Now they've got to get back to the drawing board and come up with another plan about the future of this team.”

The 10-time All-Star forward also shared his feelings when it comes knowing what they intend to do with him. He said he is “up to date” with the plans for him, but not necessarily with their roster.

“Yeah, I mean, nobody likes to be in limbo. We all want to know kind of what's going on, especially when it's involving you. But that's not the way it is in sports. I don't think I'm the only one that's going through that or feeling that way. I think there's other players who feel the same way, that they want to be involved — not involved, but at least up to date with what's going on. I feel like I'm kind of up to date as far as when it comes to me what's going on.”

Despite the addition of Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, and Courtney Lee last summer, the Knicks are once again out of contention for a playoff spot in the East for the fourth consecutive year. The frustrations are piling up and their fans' thirst for success is also adding to the pressure of forming a lineup that can soon contend for a title.

It will certainly be an interesting summer for the franchise as they will have a big decision to make on Anthony, and also with the impending free agency of Rose. Changes are expected to be made, but if it translates to more wins for them next season, is still the biggest question for them.
