Boston Celtics All-Star Kyrie Irving is known as one of the best ballers on (flat) Earth. However, there is a side to this former No. 1 overall pick that some hoops fans might not be aware of. Though he's one of the best ball-handlers in today's NBA, he's also one of the league's newest recording artists.

Irving, now 26 years of age, is the leading character in Uncle Drew, which is a soon-to-be released sports comedy film from Temple Hill Entertainment. After losing his basketball team to a rival, Irving is convinced to join a street ball tournament at Rucker Park in Harlem. Uncle Drew (Irving) agrees, but notes that he would like to select his own team to compete. The journey begins from there.

In his first “cut,” as they say in the music industry, Irving was given the opportunity to be a part of the film's soundtrack. Irving and LunchMoney Lewis joined forces on April 6th in a studio to record “Ridiculous.” The track has an upbeat 90's vibe.

Those who have followed Irving's career with a keen eye already know of his vocal talents.

In fact, when Kyrie Irving was with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was often seen (and heard) belting out lyrics at various times with some of his teammates — namely Iman Shumpert and Jordan McRae.

On a flight with Team USA in 2016, Irving joined Jimmy Butler for an impromptu rendition of Vanessa Carlton's smash hit “A Thousand Miles.”

Irving is a gifted vocalist, to be sure. Might this be the start of a second career? Perhaps. For now, though, it's probably safe to say he'd like to stick with the Celtics.
