The Memphis Grizzlies have taken a cautious approach on their prized recruit of the summer, Chandler Parsons, and have been monitoring his minutes early in the season since he's coming off knee surgery. However, even with the minutes restriction he's been playing under, it still did not prevent him from suffering a bone bruise on his left knee.

If there's any good news for the team, the injury is not on the same knee that had to be repaired earlier this year, but on his left knee instead. The Grizzlies have already ruled out Parsons from their game on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets and he'll likely miss up to two weeks while recovering.

This is certainly a huge blow for the Grizzlies, who are currently on a four-game winning streak and have made it to three games above .500 with an 8-5 record. Parsons has been contributing to the team's success with decent averages of 7.7 points, 3.0 rebounds in only 21.0 minutes per game.

James Ennis is expected to see an uptick in his minutes in Chandler's absence with Vince Carter possibly playing some minutes as well at the small forward position depending on matchups.
